Les Fauves is a house label project by Julian Sinclair. We partner with producers in our portfolio to bottle and release limited run wines that are at minimum practicing organic farming and made with low intervention. Our goal is to bring to market fun, accessible, and well priced cuvees for everyday drinking.
Les Fauves is "The Wild Beasts" in French and was used by a critic to describe the art of Henri Matisse, André Derain, Maurice de Vlaminck, Albert Marquet, and Kees van Dongen. Beginning in 1905, their style of bold and wild color and brush work was profoundly different from the more traditional Impressionist art preceding it. The movement, Fauvism, was exciting, rule breaking, accessible and expressive. Each wine label is a painting from the Fauvism movement.
